the popular and trending pages aren't the best, and you can't see replies (but you can see comments), however you can subscribe to accounts even without being signed in, and you can also set up an RSS feed. Not to mention it can run on some legacy android versions like 4.1 or something

i used to use youtube vanced but it went out of support (you can't download it on the offical site but it works if you have the files)

i wish there was a way to turn on subtitles on mobile without turning on the autogenerated ones

certain channels use subtitles to also correct their mistakes in the video which is always nice to notice

altough subtitles are great when you want to watch something silently, subtitles are great when they add extra content

also there was one cool video which was basically like the entire doom soundtrack and the video tried to look like a media player and you could click on the annonations to jump to certain songs!!!

Don't get me started on annonations, altough it is hard to find any videos with them nowadays youtube basically silenced older videos completely by removing them

they were so fun in alan becker and theodd1sout vids they were hilarious before they got removed

like that was such an useful feature why would they remove it!!! so many older popular videos that i watched had captions but now there is nothing.

i heard of that i miss those so much too

i think it is also worth mentioning that youtube removed community captions
